Dortmund´s CDU deputy borough mayor of "Innenstadt Nord", Gerda Horitzky, has written a reader´s letter that attracts attention. A nurse got fired because she wore a headscarf despite a ban.

Dismissal the right decision

It is unacceptable that our Christian faith is getting undermined everywhere, the more so as we are just infidels for Muslims anyway.
To live our faith where it is possible is all the more important and - like before - without a cross on the forehead as brand.

I, as citizen of "Nordstadt", would, in case of illness, go to the St. Johannes Hospital to have a time without headscarfs.

That shall be possible in a Western Christian country.

Politicians of the competitive SPD are "disgusted", stating no one in such an office may declare such an opinion and the medias are busy to spread negative publicity and declare that headscarfs belong to our everyday life.

No, this is not Kabul. This is Dortmund.

My Opinion: It is important that officials sometimes have the courage to say what they think. Facing the up-lined pans every day could make one believe there is no one still thinking otherwise.
