German gender Madness

[Zebra]

in English you are lucky that you have few nouns that are gendered.
Like lion, lionness, waiter, waitress.

in German there are special feminin versions of everybody.

imagine ,,,,

workeress
studentess
teacheress
readeress

and in the plural both forms must be mentioned

workeresses and workers, studentesses and students etc

isnt it madness!
