George and Tammy

I watched one episode and the Tammy character seems mildly authentic but in my opinion Michael Shannon is a poor choice for the old "Possum" hard drinking George Jones.

Nothing against Shannon but he might as well have been playing Johnny Cash. He was just a fake country singer in a cowboy outfit. He just didn't fit the George Jones character.
