I am not finding much research from peer review journals and scholarly research articles on this topic.

I searched google scholar and my school library but it focuses more on gender differences in telling their conversion story.

What I am trying to find out is which gender is more likely to convert to religion when they had no religion prior and which gender is more likely to convert to a new religion.

Any ideas?

Dunno if it's accurate to say one sex (gender is something else) is more or less likely to convert or adopt a new faith so much as personality-type which crosses sex-lines would be responsible. A submissive personality might be more likely to adopt a religion than dominant for example. I don't have figures to support that, just spitballing.
