Yes, as you say, however bad anyone in the West might imagine Gaza, it is not only far worse than you might imagine, it is also carefully shielded from you by the media, and the responsibility for this is Israel, who also murders journalists and aid workers. The American media is not independent enough to risk exposing the reality there.

wasn't Auschwitz "widely reported" at the time? That which was going on was KNOWN.
That nothing happened there was "widely reported" in the very WASP town of my childhood.
What was galvanizing that "news" in the 1950s and what was stopping it in the 1940s?
Do you remember how old you were when you FINALLY learned about the Armenian
Genocide (circa 1915) ?
