I think you both are a little correct on the cowboy issue...I use to Rodeo also a few years back...bronc's...and I must admitt that there is a sanctioned PRA "Gay Rodeo" circuit...they have been to Reno a few times...as well as the Black Rodeo" circuit...both have some decent contenders...however OCA may be correct by saying "working cowboys" for the Gay issue...most are, for the most part, week-end cowboys...however many of the " Black Rodeo" participants are working cowboys...but I gave em hell for discrimination against good old boy particpation...if ya get my drift! :spank3:

Why would I hide it? So I don't get made fun of, so I don't have people beat me, so I don't have to lose friends and family. But I'm not afraid to show it. I kinda figure that if people really want to treat me as an outcast, then they aren't worth my time.

I don't worry about being accepted. I've always had acceptance problems. But some people want acceptance so they can live life normally like any straight couple.

I made no decision to be attracted to males instead of females. I've heard stories of celibate gay men being beaten only because they were known to be gay. Yes, Angel a distinction must be made between rodeo participants and actual working cowboys because any queer with enough money to buy the outfit and his card can rodeo but can he deliver a still born calf in a driving rainstorm or break that green colt in the round pen? I think not. Hell he wouldn't get the chance, the boss would hear about one note from his voice and tell him to hit the road because he can't have deviants on his spread.

We can live like straight couples in that we can pay taxes, live together, hold hands in public, and can marry (depending on residency).

Don't think I don't know that straight couples have in the shade, as you say. All couples, no matter their sexuality, are in no way under the shade. We all have concerns and issues that arrive to us.

Also, we feel that being gay is NORMAL, not ABNORMAL. Get that through your head if you would.
