Gavin Newsom.....August 14th....2025.....Making his POTUS move? Or A nothing Burger?

LOLLOLLL

Context Dude.

Highest state income tax....... Yup, I worked in CA, and I made 25% more in salary, yet I paid an additional 9.3% ish.....Do YOU make over $1 Million per year? Doubt it.

  1. California: 13.3% for individuals earning more than $1 million. A 1% surcharge for mental health services applies to this income bracket.

For 1987, California's top marginal personal income tax rate was 9.3%
However, rates varied depending on your taxable income and filing status. The state's tax system was overhauled by the "California Tax Fairness, Simplification and Conformity Act of 1987," which aligned many state tax rules with the federal Tax Reform Act of 1986.
highest gas tax......lots of roads, no tolls.
#2 unemployment......Why does CA have a high unemployment rate? Lots of farm jobs.
Prove me wrong. We love our Fruits and Vegetables.

#2 most expensive housing..... People LOVE living in NICE areas, I drove through OK, SD, NE, KS, etc......So much depression and no Beaches, Ocean Views, Mountains......Only people that live there were born there.

Care to counter Meister
You can twist the facts anyway you, Winnie. Makes no difference to me.
I also lived in Ca., for forty one years. I do understand the facts

Newsom wants to fight fire with fire. I dunno considering his history with fires, that doesn't sound like the smartest thing to do.

Watch for his forthcoming book;
"Self Be-clowning for Idiots"
Soon to be on Amazon and in bookstores everywhere.

California should redistrict. A lot of those people who fled to Texas were fleeing from California. Both states have also lost a lot of illegal aliens.

That's a significant population shift that warrants redistricting.

If they were to do another census I may agree. The plan is to redistrict on the 2020 census.

Gavin Newsome imposed massive damages against California and a warning is, would you like that done to all of America?
What are you whining about Now, old man.
Be specific.

Massive Damage.
CA is the Worlds 6th Largest GDP, and It's just a State.

GDP isn't what I speak of, or we would hail KS, North Dakota, South
Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, TX, as being better!!

15th post
If there was anything to it, it wouldn't get that far. Speculation says it would subduct under the mainland along the San Andreas fault from SF bay area along the coastal range down to Riverside area and south to near the Mexican border where the crack would turn west and run to the baja coast. LOL, who knows maybe you'd have a new ski area from the uplift.
mit and others say it aint possible...
