I haven't noticed anything yet but others are.

Seems a lot of Ring (live) cameras are down.

United Airlines down.

AWS is now the most popular provider of such cloud services in the world. It made $108 billion last year, and it now accounts for the majority of Amazon’s profits."

Does Amazon own everything?

I stopped buying merchandise from them when they strutted the fact that they were paying for their employees' abortions. I started using eBay, and then their packages started showing up in Amazon branded packaging. They said they were using Amazon "logistics and shipping".

It's now really a challenge to get a package from eBay that doesn't look like it came from Amazon!

I have started doing the footwork and buying only from manufacturers. It doesn't seem to be significantly more expensive than buying from Amazon and eBay.

Amazon's website is working. :dunno:

What caused the AWS outage - and why has it made the internet fall apart?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) has had a bad day.

That's how the boss of another big US tech firm Cloudflare put it – probably feeling very relieved that today's outage, hitting over 1,000 companies and affecting millions of internet users, had nothing to do with him.

Total cost of the outage could reach hundreds of billions of dollars, expert says

From CNN's Clare Duffy

….

Already, the outage has resulted in delayed flights, prevented consumers from making purchases on certain apps or accessing financial services and caused issues for workers trying to do their jobs on Monday
.

Well this was something else!. I first noticed it as I wanted to purchase some more of one of my equitys during early trading hours around 4 AM. And the Robinhood app was freezing. Apparently this was some sort of global outage affecting all sorts of services. I thought this might result in a bad day for the markets but interestingly enough it’s been the opposite a Great day for the markets. It looks like the global outage is mostly under control now.

Alexa was down for over 10 hours.

That Robinhood app got to be too pesty so I did away with it a few years ago.

Saw that Photoshop is web based now. Hmmm. They just provided another argument for ownership and possession of software upon purchase. You can work on those type of programs whether you have internet or not.

Hope not ! Don’t think it would be financially beneficial to anyone. As Chinese and Americans invest in companies that operate in each other countries and worldwide on the global trading platforms.
