From 2024’s vantage point, is there any way to look at Barack Obama’s legacy but as a tragic blight on American history

Funny how Trumpsters alway hate it when people point out that the rise of white resentment and the rise of Trump are primarily reflections of the way many white people (a especially the less educated and poorer) reacted to a black man in the White House.

Trump never let an opportunity pass to drive that wedge home, either.

And here we are!

A whole thread of Trumpsters making my point!

The ACA's employer mandate has been in place without interruption (including during the Trump years) since 2016.

Trump removed the mandate that employers with so many employees had to provide ACA approved insurance to at least 95% of their employees. The ACA approval as well as the requirement the employer furnish the insurance made it prohibitive to the vast majority of small business owners. Big Corp didn't mind it at all as they already were doing that and it made it muc more difficult for their smaller competitors to complete.

As a result small businesses didn't expand or went to part time employees exempt from that mandate. That is why 95% of the job created during the eight years of the Obama Administration were part time jobs with few or no benefits. That forced responsible adults to take 2 or more part time jobs in order to support themselves and their families.

Trump removed that mandate which allowed employers to again put on full time employees with benefits, just not as much benefits as Obama had mandated. People stuck in dead end part time jobs were able to get those good full time jobs again. The result was that American families increased in wealth by many thousands. Conversely, American families have lost many thousands in buying power under the Biden/(Obama) administration.

It is funny how right-wing whites see things. America has never been united. Whites have kept the division alive consistently. Obama didn't start anything. You racists got scared because suddenly a white man was not president. You've been butthurt ever since.
He was elected which set back race relations because the old confederacy mentality that is still alive couldn't handle it.

You MAGAS will be voted out in 2026. Trump was elected because he said he was going to lower prices. Obama and Bidenidn'ttae shit away from Americans. Trump's incompetence literally took American lives. But your racism continues making you believe a bunch of lies and your lies are going to destroy America unless it gets stopped.
We'll see. All you have are ugly assigned talking points. I have credible sources to back up my facts.

No, he didn't. That requirement has been in place since 2016. Which is to say, it was in effect for all of Trump's term and virtually none of Obama's.

but, the only conservative on this forum that believes bush was the worst president we've ever had is me
So that thinking doesn't hold up
Look at is this way. the Dallas Cowboys had a bad year and so did Obama
That's only because he isn't a racist POS like you.

the only point you've made "rookie" is circular reasoning

It is funny how right-wing whites see things.
See, I think it's telling how you see things...
America has never been united.
That's simply not true.
Whites have kept the division alive consistently.
Yet, you are the one in here that posts about nothing but race...Seems to me, in here YOU are the one keeping it alive.
Obama didn't start anything.
Sure he did, and because you agree with it, you don't see it.
You racists got scared because suddenly a white man was not president. You've been butthurt ever since.
That's just nonsense....Obama was not just elected by blacks, it took everyone to elect him.....

Racist like you are mad that you had to witness a black man being elected POTUS, twice.
Every time someone criticizes Obama, they are a racist. What a crock of shit. I voted for Herman Cain and Ben Carson yet I criticize Obama and am a racist?? How?

Interesting article.....and this line sums it up for me: “Hope and change” became, “Do what mommy and daddy said.”

That was/is essentially the Dem motto, and their dembots, as evident in this thread, fall in line most of the time. What we saw in this election was Trump made major gains with African-American and minorities in general. Folks are becoming woke to the fact the Demklan plantation is not about them and certainly not about freedom

Obama was even worse than Jimmy Carter

Which is difficult to do, but he accomplished it effortlessly

He was the most divisive Presidential candidate since George Wallace.

Looking back, he is the heartbeat of the current Democrat meme, which is, "If you don't vote for us, you are stupid."

How did that work out for them? Why do they still fail to see how divisive and self-defeating this is?
Trump has that title. Obama was divisive Only to the racists as they got the butthurt because a black nan decided he could be president.

Your second sentence is a lie. What happened was that you racists made sure to enact measures that restrict voting because you want to make certain that doesn't happen again.

It is funny how the racists actually believe America was united before Obama.
