Macron called a snap election and it's been a hung parliament ever since, no one party being able to run the show. So Barnier just shoved through his plans. So opposition parties have hit the ceiling.

I'm not sure how many times Macron got elected, so the French have got themselves to blame. Their system to block Le Pen last time has kicked them in the nuts.

Ask these freedom loving French people if they are ready to dump their 7-hours working day and 5-day working week, with no overtimes, full pension allowance in 60-something years, minimum wage requirements, worker unions that can dictate their will on employers, and other things.
