If we were to take all the money in the world and divide it evenly into enough equal slices of pie so that everyone in the world would have a slice, lefties would be excited. The evil folks who used to be rich would have the same slice as those who once had nothing, and we'd be in utopia.
The problem with this utopia is that money will just find its way back to where it was after you let the snow globe settle. Those who once had nothing will blow their windfall on gold teeth and gold wheels, which will soon be stolen. Those who once had something will invest their money in a way that makes it grow. In a short time, those who were once have-nots will be have-nots again, and those who were once haves will be haves again.
