For about a week now Avast wouldnt load when i turned on the comp. I went into programs and features and clicked on repair for avast and now it loads. However, after it started working again you tube videos wont play and other sites take forever to load. When i go into avast and disable the shields everything is fine so i know Avast is causing the trouble. Any help would be appreciated.

Hmmm. Never had any problems whatsoever with Avast. Check your settings.

What setting should i check?

What browser are you using? I'm using Firefox and to get youtube videos to play, I sometimes have to click on the little "i" in a circle, in the left side of the address bar, and disable tracking protection.

Try Troubleshooting, and restore default settings.

If no go, do a clean re-install. Uninstall/delete all files and re-install.

Download a new version of Avast but don't install it just yet. Uninstall avast, reboot then reinstall Avast from the new download.
