It saddens me that the disaster in Gaza is framed as if it started on Oct 7. The story becomes different when the truth of the Israeli killings thru out August and September of 2023. I talked to co workers each morning about the poking of the bear that the extremist in the Netanyahu government were doing and to what extent Hamas would retaliate. One thought it would be the stabbing , one thought it would be a suicide bombing, no one thought it would be as big as it was. The fact is referring to Oct 7 as a bad retaliation to the killings by Israel changes the message.

There is plenty of documentary evidence from Hamas that the invasion was planned at least two years (and probably more) in advance.

According to Hamas, the specific planning for Al-Aqsa Flood began after Sword of Jerusalem in 2021. It has been an on-going conflict since 1917, which deepened with Israel's successful restoration of her Nation in 1948. I don't think people believe it was all "roses and unicorns" on October 5.

Regardless, this is about the press and people acting as if the whole problem started Oct 7. Sadly the Middle East is based on killing and the misinformation about Gaza doesn’t help.

From my perspective, while the conflict certainly didn't start on October 7, it fundamentally changed on October 7. There is no going back to the way it was on October 6.

At the early part of his round of war BBC was interviewing a group of the Zionist settlers who explained the play book . There was a story years ago about how it worked in the West Bank . But the Zionist were the ones that bombed the British into submission in the 40’s. So from 04 to 23 Gaza was all Palestinians. Then Netanyahu after his second removal from office needed the far right to get back 9n power and avoid the criminal charges against him, he formed his new government with the right wing extremists and gave them the military, they then started the killings. But when we hear about this round it is always framed as starting on Oct 7.

I love (/sarcasm) how the framing always completely erases the Hamas and the Palestinian people of Gaza. As though Israel is operating in a bubble by itself.

Again, I am going to remind that there was a fundamental change with the invasion of October 7 for Israelis. But the invasion was planned years in advance, which means the actual change didn't happen on October 7. It happened years before when Sinwar and Dief came up with a new and different idea. What, do you think, was the change?

I just love these lies Olmert’s had the perfect plan and it was rejected The plan for a Jewish State was supposed to be in effect long before the British After Israel withdrew from Gaza why was there Rocket Fire and why did it intensify?
