Sad to hear it. I may have disagreed with Carter's presidency, but I respect his concern for others, and his efforts for Habitat for Humanity after leaving office.

At least he lived long enough to lose the stigma of being the worst President in anyone's memory, after Obama won the title.

My thoughts for former Pres. Carter, but this kind of cancer usually kills pretty quickly.

I had a chance to see former President Carter in person years ago- at an Atlanta restaurant. He was amazingly cordial and personal to everyone who he spoke with- and when he saw some friends immediately invited them to join him and Mrs. Carter.

And lunch?

Burger and a beer.
