A former top official in the Biden administration slammed Virginia Gov. Abigail Spanberger as wrongly following Joe Biden’s playbook, squandering “goodwill” and allowing the GOP to define her, demanding she “come out of her Biden bunker.”

The swipe comes as former Gov. George Allen offered to debate her virtually on the subject of redistricting if timing was an issue in her original rejection, and Spanberger briskly avoided a Fox News Digital reporter who confronted the tight-lipped governor in Richmond this week.

Michael LaRosa, former first lady Jill Biden’s longtime top aide and spokesperson, slammed Spanberger on Tuesday, unfavorably comparing her to former President Joe Biden and calling a Washington Post poll showing her as the governor with the highest unfavorables dating back to Allen’s era “entirely self-inflicted and avoidable.”

I really don't get her reluctance to debate given Allen was never the sharpest crayon in the box.

She should have to defend her redistricting ploy in open debate....I guess she figures that misleading wording is enough for people stupid enough to vote yes on it. 😐

Yup. She’s counting on the lie that would disenfranchise 45% of Virginia voters to give representation ONLY to the 55% who are Democrats is the “fair” thing to do.

I was stopped in front of my local community center by a woman who said, as I went by, “do you want to vote “yes” and make Virginia districts FAIR?” I told her she was not talking to an uninformed fool and went on my way.

The only way Dems win is by lying.

There hasn't been a dem out front of our early voting poling place since the first day of early voting on the issue.

From what I understand they were given such a brow beating by NO voters they folded their tent.

Virginia has typically been a pretty well-run state no matter who is in the governor's mansion, and I think most voters want to keep it that way, not give democrats a perpetual advantage. Anyone believing the ads that the gerrymandering would be temporary is a fool.

Unfortunately, Fairfax and Loudon county essentially run the state and those counties are FULL ON BIG GOVERNMENT SHEEP.

The % of people living in those counties that are working in government or for government contractors has to me among the highest in the country.

People who work for the government TEND to lean left.

NOT ALL THE TIME, OF COURSE, but I GUARANTEE there are more people who identify as Dem who work for Fed, State, and Local governments than those who identify as Pub or Indy.
