If the Dems had picked a QUALIFIED person as VP, and not an idiot because she checked off the female black box, they wouldn’t have been in the position they were. They could have 25th Biden at least a year earlier, has the competent VP ascend, and then run as an incumbent.

But they knew the DEI idiot would be exposed for her incompetence if they allowed that to happen, and would lose to the Republican when the election came around. So they pulled the “swap” at the last minute, hoping she could fool the “useful idiots” for a few months. Turned out she was so stupid she couldn’t even pull it off for a short amount of time.

I doubt any Democrats wanted to pull the "Swap" until the disastrous debate with Trump.

As a practical matter, if you have an incumbent, you have to run him again.
