Many people here consider their opinions to be facts.By Baron Von Murderpaws
FACT: No Democrat (anywhere) has ever answered my questions with relatable, factual answers.....only rhetoric and propaganda. FACT: No Democrat on this site has proven me wrong on any of my political posts.
This saddens me to find out that you are a Mega-Republicon
I had hoped we may become friends,
Turns out it ain’t going to happen.
See you on the battlefield.

That was then, this is the here and now.Point of fact though, tanks fire by line of sight, you're thinking of howitzers that fire in great arcs.
So far as I know, the US has no precision-guided munitions for tanks. We have a 155 mm one for howitzers. If you know of a tank round I'd love to hear about it.That was then, this is the here and now.
With GPS we can locate where you are and where the enemy is. Targeting becomes automatic and on track.

That is the point, we need one

Actually, the Russians use tank fire in defilade, but artillery is preferred, of course.Well I hate to shoot holes through your theory, but the 105mm gun on a US M1 Abrams tank can only raise to an elevation of 20 degrees and has a range of 1.86 miles. You're going to have a hard time lobbing rounds over a hill, that's why we have mortars and artillery.
