Heck, even when I was a boy, there was no such thing as a "Palestinian" people. It was only after Arabs lost the Six Day war that they created this brand new people out of whole cloth.

It was all just a propaganda ploy to create an artificial sense of victimhood. It was a very successful one, too, as the world has shifted from perceiving the hosilities correctly -- as Arab against Jew -- to one that is incorrect.

The Egyptian nephew of a card carrying Nazi had much to do with that. This Egyptian emmersed in the Nazi ideology and propaganda techniques changed his name from al-Husseini to Arafat, and the rest is history.

True ^^^ this. I remember it used to be the Arab-Israeli conflict until I started hearing the word Palestinian in the late sixties.
