In Africa and Europe whole countries are suffering from militant groups
HIJACKING govt and implementing "shariah law" to mean this justice without due process to defend civil rights of individuals from govt abuses.

But in the US the OPPOSITE is happening if anything.

We've had more cases of people THREATENING to curb and ban "shariah law"
by law, which has also run into Constitutional arguments to DEFINE what is shariah
(because the term literally means the PRACTICE of Islam including prayer and charity,
alms for the elderly and poor, individual rights to free exercise in private which CANNOT be banned by law)

You are talking about the politicized religion of mixing Muslim religion with govt and civil laws.
This is unconstitutional in America.

In other countries that don't have such protections, YES that is a problem.

In the US more cases involve defending Muslims religious freedom from discrimination because
of the anti-Islamic sentiments. Look up cases in Tennessee where it was proposed to shut down
Mosques from being built. Look at the fight over a Mosque near the 9/11 ground zero site.

The opposite fight is going on in America, because our Constitutional laws
on religious freedom go BOTH WAYS:
Govt can neither ESTABLISH nor PROHIBIT the free exercise of religion.

So our laws protect both the right of Muslims to practice individually,
barring discrimination by creed, and would preclude any implementation through govt of religious beliefs.

You are sorely mistaken if you think that I believe The Left and Sharia Law are not incredibly similar.

I am saying we've had more incidents and patterns of the liberal left
pushing their beliefs and implementing those biases and practices through govt
than we have seen from Muslims.

if you are going to yell, I'd expect the yelling to be about the liberal left and
the Democratic party leaders abusing office and legislative authority and media
to push policies that are faith-based and relative, yet seek to punish people of dissenting beliefs

So where DO conservatives draw the line on religious rights?

I think everyone is against abuses NYcarbineer but tend to
focus their resources on fighting the abuses that affect them. So of course this
is biased, on both sides.

But liberals don't trust Christians and anti-gay "bigots" so they want to ban that.

Christians don't trust Muslims not to "enable" the terrorists with their liberal tolerance and
unwillingness to police the violations going on.

The threat of foreigners abusing the immigration loopholes to come here
with NO respect for laws but with possible intent to commit terrorist acts
is why the right supports better vetting and screening of immigrants from key countries that
they can get enforcement on. maybe some countries can't be so easily regulated due to politics.
but the ones they can get, they are trying to at least target and enforce that immigration.

Neither the left nor the right trusts each other's politicians.
They both seem bent on pushing THEIR beliefs through govt.
Though the right is better at policing their own because the
Christians and Constitutionalists respond to Constitutional checks on govt.

The left does not. They only respond to lawsuits and rulings by judges
to act as God's word and will, using the Government as their substitute for church authority.

So you will see the left getting away with more of their agenda.

The right get stopped by both opposition on the left and the right going after abuses.

The left won't police their own, and the right isn't enough to stop them.
So you will see more secular agenda and beliefs get through the system
because it favors secular arguments, while arguments from the right tend to
get shot down as religious bias. the left gets away with implementing THOSE
liberal "beliefs" through govt because those political beliefs are counted as "secular"
instead of treated equally as the beliefs on the right that are argued as "religious."

They are both pushing faith-based beliefs.
Both parties will shoot down the beliefs of the other party
while defending their own.

Let me be succinct (a trait you might wish to emulate)

Conservatives mostly believe that there is a religious right (1st Amendment) to discriminate against gays, IOW, deny them equal rights.

Conservatives also mostly believe that there is NO religious right to circumcise a female child.

So my question is,

between those two, somewhere, the conservative view changes. Where is that point?
