President Trump, long known for keeping a very high percentage of promises made has come through once again. This time he outdid himself. Trump promised to bring the price of groceries down, a feat many said was impossible. Well, in barely one week, delivered on this bold promise. Reminiscent of his kept promise of delivering the COVID vaccine before the end of 2020. He was widely ridiculed for that, yet silence critics and delivered in late December of that year. Americans now repeat as they did then, "Outstanding job, Mr. President!!"

According to recent data, the grocery price index has indeed shown a slight decrease in the past week, with some reports indicating a small drop in prices across various food categories, including fruits, vegetables, and non-alcoholic beverages; however, the overall trend still shows a gradual increase in grocery prices compared to the previous year.

Key points about the recent grocery price trend:

  • Small decline:
While not a significant drop, the grocery price index has seen a minor decrease in the past week, particularly in specific items like certain fruits and vegetables.
  • Year-over-year increase:
Despite the recent dip, grocery prices are still higher compared to the previous year, indicating a slower pace of inflation rather than a price decrease.
  • Factors influencing prices:
The fluctuation in prices can be attributed to factors like seasonal availability of produce, changes in supply chains, and overall economic conditions.

Not in my locality and a few things went up. We did our semi annual trek to Sams yesterday and our weekly trek to publix and Walmart. Nothing has dropped and publix went up a few items.

One word: Eggs
Oh, OK. Now the goalposts shift. Now lowered food prices are not enough. Now it can only specifically be eggs. lol. Got it. Know what this reminds me of?
"There is NO election cheating"
Revised to "There is no widespread cheating"
Revised to "There wasn't enough cheating to sway the election".

lol.

I'm not tired of winning yet. :nono:

Price of coffee is surging.
Groceries. Down
Some egg prices: Down

Now let's switch the topic to coffee.

You need wheels on the goalposts when you're dealing with leftwingers.

Actually large brown cage-free eggs have dropped 5% the past week after a long period of rising. Ditto California-approved cage-free eggs. The great man is making progress even on the egg front.

Oops! lol.
What a great great man. I'm munching on an egg right now!
