I don't know whether it is due to a lack of real news, but FNC seems to be fixated on the idea that the US is about to enter into a prolonged ground war in Iran. This idea has no basis in fact or logic. President Trump is not Bush Jr., and does not believe in "nation building" or any other wishful thinking regarding foreign relations. His position is that Iran will not be permitted to obtain nuclear weapons. This be done forcefully with air power, or permissively with inspections. In either case a massive ground invasion would not be required, so why is FNC beating this drum?

Here's the problem that no one addresses, both Iran and Russia share a long and common border. Back in the days of the Shah, the NSC had listening posts on the Russian Border.
