Well, we shouldn't be surprised in the least. Because the Feds incompetence may be the least of the Routh story.

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody announced Wednesday that the state has obtained an arrest warrant alleging attempted felony murder against Ryan Routh, who is already in federal custody on charges of attempting to assassinate Donald Trump.

It’s a continuation of a back-and-forth between the Biden administration and Florida Republican leaders over the state’s role in investigating the assassination attempt in September, the second attempt on Trump's life in three months. Routh’s trial is set for February.

Routh faces five federal charges, including attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate, but Florida officials have said the federal government has “stonewalled” the state’s ability to conduct its own investigation or partner with the federal investigation.

“The feds have stonewalled Florida’s investigation of the Trump assassination attempt at every turn, and I appreciate AG Moody and her team for plowing forward despite some resistance,” DeSantis said on X after Moody announced the warrant at a morning news conference.

Trump has criticized the Justice Department’s handling of the second assassination attempt. The Justice Department did not answer a request for comment.

Trump is 32 days from tsking office so justice will be served one way or another.

Nope. We already know.

Democrats were behind both attempts! I wouldn't doubt if they have another all planned out & ready to go.
True...But there's more to it than that....It's more to it than party politics, that we get this for a dude who is a run-of-the-mill punk murderer...

Federal Law clearly takes precedence, unless one no longer believes in Federal Law, written by act of Congress. Of course, I am referring to

18 U.S. Code § 351 - Congressional, Cabinet, and Supreme Court assassination, kidnapping, and assault; penalties

Surely Florida can wait 32 days, when I am sure the new administration will be more forthcoming with sharing info and more aide to sharing evidence. Desantis is wasting Florida tax money frivolously.

Pres. Trump has got to come out HARD just like a AA/FD launching off the line! That corrupt fed bureaucracy has got to sport new faces like a LOT of new faces!

Well, obviously, any legitimate legal agency would welcome any light that another might shed on such an important case! So, the only thing left is that there is something about this Routh guy that the Feds do NOT want Florida (and Trump) to find out.

Yet the DC/Beltway Snipers went to trial in Virginia with the full cooperation of both the feds and MD because Virginia still had the death penalty at the time.

I had forgotten, that mentioned as why the Beltway sniper went on trial there. I still do not remember whether it was a State or Federal trial or if prosecuted by both. Capital punishment is not going to be a factor, as no shot was fired. I do like the thought of trial on both sides of the State/Federal fence, even if supporting the Federal law that gives president jurisdiction to the Feds, such as was the case in Georgia where the hillbillies that murdered the unarmed black jogger, dual trials ensuring neither a President, nor a Governor, by themself, could commute or pardon.

We know 10X more about that Mangione asshole than we do about both of the would-be assassins rolled into one.

Any of you jokers even remotely curious as to why?
You know, that brings up a good point. 41% of young adults believe the murder of Thompson was, on some level, justified, some in this forum have stated their belief that his murder was a good thing.

Now, when they say "young adults", I suspect that translates to "liberals"

Now, if they believe that Thompsons murder was justified, then you KNOW, they think the assassination attempts on trump are justified, and are most likely hoping it does happen, and if it does, they will think it was justified.

Maybe Routh was an assassin for the Biden regime.
