Mexico can easily eliminate the need for America to take action against drug cartels, by taking the actions themselves.

Their neighbor Presidente Bukele in El Salvador, has successfully fought the banditos of both MS 13 and Barrio 18 in his country. If Mexico did the same, President Trump wouldn't have to get involved, and that would be just fine with the Trumpster. He has enough on his plate without this to keep him busy.

I believe the possibility of "intervention" is being floated by Trump and his circle against Venezuela, considering we just sent 4 warships down towards their shores and have raised the bounty on Maduro to $20 million.

You sure as hell are not going to send Marines ashore, and cruise missiles will accomplish what exactly? We could kill all the cartel's top leaders and they would be replaced overnight. I fear Trump thinks he can just kill Maduro and that will be the end of things.

We have a history of failure with our "intervention", stretching back over 50 years, in this part of the world.
