Last game I watched was about 15 years ago when Greece beat Portugal for the Eurocup. Greek citizen.

I went with my daughter and a group of her pals and their moms or dads (a local kids’ soccer team event) to a “friendly” involving Mia Hamm once at the Meadowlands, years back. I don’t recall what the opposing team was. European, if memory serves.

The US team was on the very knife’s edge of losing when Mia scored in what had to have been the last couple of seconds of that weird added time thing. Tie.

I confess, it was a fun match.

Nonetheless, if I never saw another soccer match, i wouldn’t lose a moment’s worth of sleep.
