In a Republic, actually
‘A federal judge in Maryland temporarily blocked key portions of President Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in the federal government and corporate America.

U.S. District Judge Adam B. Abelson granted a preliminary injunction on Friday that bars portions of Trump’s orders to cancel federal contracts with DEI components and require government contractors to certify that they do not engage in DEI practices that violate antidiscrimination laws. The order also prohibits enforcement against publicly traded companies and large universities with comparable policies.

In reference to enforcement against companies and universities, Abelson noted that the plaintiffs were “likely” to succeed on their claim that such actions would violate constitutionally protected free speech.

“That is textbook viewpoint-based discrimination,” Abelson wrote. “The government’s threat of enforcement is not just targeted towards enforcement of federal law. Rather, the provision expressly targets, and threatens, the expression of views supportive of equity, diversity and inclusion.”’

Very good.

The racist, bigoted right will of course denounce the ruling, consistent with their hate and unwarranted fear of diversity and inclusion, and their desire to compel conformity and silence dissent.

You Bill of Rights protects against discrimination based on race, right? That is what DEI would appear to violate.

Constitutional "Right to Free Speech" doesn't extend to a Right for Taxpayer/Federal Funding to support such.

One has to pay their own way to express their free speech.

It violates the First Amendment if the gub'mint is paying others to voice their religious/ideological views.

More than you can comprehend it has seemed.

However, Leftist parasites like you think your worthless arse is entitled to other peoples wealth because you lack brains and gumption to tend for yourself.

You haven't spoken here like one who supports themself via wealth creation, so the "shoe" fits you totally.
Move along parasite.
You would be the type to take care of the fields, drives, outbuilding, vehicles, and basic maintenance on one of my places.

I do hope you do make your own way even if it is working for your betters.

Well if that is what you believe then surely you can explain just how this occurs?

I'm asking you to explain it not just stating the above rhetorically.
DEI expects all aspects of American society, especially occupations and employment, should be equally filled in proportion to race, ethnic, and other none related qualities, excluding skill, merit, or capacity to perform.

If it were to be fully applied, than no more than 12% employed in professional sports teams could be Blacks. Other races and ethnics would be mandated to have their respective proportion of team members - for one example.

Think on it.

In the year 2081, the Constitution dictates that all Americans are fully equal and not allowed to be smarter, better-looking, or more physically able than anyone else. This is due to the 211th, 212th, and 213th amendments. Diana Moon Glampers, the Handicapper General, and her agents enforce the equality laws by forcing citizens to wear "handicaps" such as ugly masks for those who are too beautiful, earpiece radios for the intelligent that broadcast irritating noises meant to disrupt thoughts, and heavy weights for the strong or athletic.

George and Hazel Bergeron have a 14-year old son named Harrison. He takes after his father, who is highly intelligent and physically strong. The government removes Harrison from his home. His parents are barely aware because of Hazel's low intelligence and George's mandated handicaps.

George and Hazel watch a ballet on TV one day. Some dancers are weighed down to counteract their gracefulness and masked to hide their attractiveness. George's thoughts are continually interrupted by the different noises emitted by his handicap radio. Hazel urges George to lie down and rest his "handicap bag," (which is a 47 pounds (21 kg) cloth bag filled with birdshot locked around his neck). She suggests taking a few of the weights out of the bag, but George resists because it is against the law and he will have to endure two years of prison and pay a $2,000 fine per every birdshot he takes out.

On TV, a reporter with a speech impediment (like all announcers) struggles to read a bulletin and hands it to the ballerina wearing the most grotesque mask and heaviest weights. She begins reading in her natural, beautiful voice before switching to a more unpleasant one; it would be unfair for her to use such a beautiful voice. Harrison's escape from prison is announced, and a full-body photograph of him is shown upright after several tries to face it upright by the showrunners. He is seven feet (2.1 m) tall and burdened by three hundred pounds (140 kg) of handicaps.

George recognizes his son for a moment, before having the thought eliminated by his radio. Harrison storms the TV studio in an attempt to overthrow the government. He declares himself emperor and rips off both of his own handicaps and those of the ballerina who previously read the news bulletin, who elects to be his empress when given the option. Bergeron then orders the present musicians within the television studio to play their best music while the two of them dance.

Suddenly, the Handicapper General bursts into the studio and kills Harrison and the Empress on the spot with two shotgun blasts while they are in the middle of a long kiss. She threatens the musicians at gunpoint to put on their handicaps again before the TV goes dark. George, who left to get a beer, returns. He asks Hazel why she is crying, to which she replies that something sad happened on television that she cannot remember.

So my comment was directed to the person I was responding to who although we don't agree on everything, I still am interested in his perspective.

You on the other hand responded with nothing but your opinions which are mostly erroneous so are you opposed to beginning with a few definitions?

And this relates to the topic how? Or are you just trying to make a veiled threat?

DEI qualifies on the basis of race/gender regardless of ability rather than basing ability regardless of race/gender.
That is not what DEI does or rather how it works.
But it most certainly does.
If you have knowledge of something to the contrary please post it.
It is well-documented that in order to qualify women in certain professions the standards of training has been lowered. This means that women and lesser men are employed (by certificate) in jobs that could (and have been) the source of great harm and losses of lives.
