The current administration has ordered the defunding of chemical and surgical mutilation of minors. I'm curious if a federal ban on transgender care for minors would pass, given that Republicans currently control both the house and the Senate.

If some people have a biological basis for identifying as transgender, they are a statistical minority, so I would prioritize protecting children who don't need it from being subjected or coached into to irreversible procedures.

Sec. 4. Defunding Chemical and Surgical Mutilation. The head of each executive department or agency (agency) that provides research or education grants to medical institutions, including medical schools and hospitals, shall, consistent with applicable law and in coordination with the Director of the Office of Management and Budget, immediately take appropriate steps to ensure that institutions receiving Federal research or education grants end the chemical and surgical mutilation of children.

By biological basis that can only mean abnormal secondary sexual development like XXY males X females which are rare abnormalities. There is even an XY male with abnormal ovaries. Thes are syndromes Klienfelters Turners Swyers etc. They require treatment that addresses their problems as well is psychotherapy.
When gender confusion or dysphoria occurs in normal children or adults thats a symptom of a premorbid personality disorder and surgery and hormone therpay should be banned as it will cause an increase in depression suicide and death form the procedure

No one fears transgenders unless a older man is in a girls bathroom exposing himself or beating the crap out of a women in sports. But defining trans as mental illness isnt fear. Its reality

I don't fear anybody, but castrating or giving them irreversible medication. Is horrible, let them be kids. They have the rest of their life over 18 to try and change their sex.
