Fear of a black president

You know sittario you and I are really on different thought plains here.

Still your Lady Gaga 2001 Space Oddessey avatar does turn me on to some degree.

The whole thread premise is a fail. 0bama crossed multiple lines in his election victory. It was not race that won him the election, but the idea it was not Bush and he would change how DC did business.

Many of the posts are talking about racism, but the thread is about fear of a black president. Many are concerned about his socialist view and inability to lead. 0bama seems to use intimidation and shame as tools to create change. Are these ways blacks do things? I attributed it to Chicago politics, but maybe I'm wrong.

On so many levels, you have no idea.

Feel free to enlighten me.

Thanks for the tips RadiomanATL, I wasn't fully alert and aware that its the blacks and liberals that are to blame here. They don't have any grounds for believing that some of criticism against my CINC Barack Obama is due to racism. We live in the 21st century where whites are no longer racist and black people shouldn't be so pretentious and sensitive to every fucking thing thats said about them. Thanks for the tips.

I think you responded to the wrong post. Cuz nothing that you think I said was actually said or even implied by me.

But thanks for playing Troll of the Day™

You only rate a 4/10 though. Needs more spittle and froth to be a truly effective troll.

Says he who sounds like a carbon copy rightwinger from Fox News, originality is something you should consider.

Is that the best you got there? Waaaaahhhh...y-y-y-y-ou (sob) sound like Fox News with no originality. An insult, that ironically, is quite UNoriginal.

Also quite laughable in another way, really. I guess you didn't feel like taking a look at some other threads before putting that out there and thoroughly and completely embarrassing yourself.

I guess thats why yer only a 4/10 troll though.

Come back when you actually have some game, junior.

Whether people admit it or not, it exists and is going to be a big problem for this country. There are so many articles on this topic. I like this one by Alvin F. Poussaint, M.D., of Harvard Medical School. Here is some of what he said:

These days, the political climate has renewed the sense of urgency around the question of extreme racism as a form of mental illness. The red-faced freak-outs by many of the whites who turned up at Town Hall meetings around the nation through August, Poussaint said, are indications that conscious and subconscious racist beliefs among some whites have found a ready repository in the form of the 44th President.

“It is not rational, but they see America as ‘their country,’ which translates in their minds that this President is not legitimate,” Poussaint explained. “If they are unemployed, if they are struggling to keep their families together, they will blame Obama instead of Bush, even though it is obvious that the Bush Administration was actually in charge when the economy went bad.

“But these folks shouting at the President won’t blame Bush, in large part because Bush is a white man. Obama is black, blacks are inferior and can’t do anything right, so in their thinking, he is to blame for it,” Poussaint said.

Misplaced anxiety and anger over lost jobs, or diminished finances or perceived threats to one’s safety by a political changing of the guard, appear to be exacerbating in those who previously managed to keep racist opinions or beliefs in check, Poussaint said. And when we decline to accurately identify this misplaced animosity as racism, or to write it off merely as “partisan politics,” it is not just foolhardy, it is potentially dangerous, Poussaint said.

With an eye focused perhaps on the increasing volatility of “partisan politics,” President Obama said recently that he doesn’t think that racism is the main instigator of the anti-health care reform protests. But Poussaint says that now is not the time to be in denial about the potential harm that extreme racism can visit upon the American body politic.

“President Obama has been subjected to more death threats than any president in history,” Poussaint said. “Gun sales went way up after his election, and they continue to climb. You had an elected Congressman [Rep. Joe Wilson, a South Carolina Republican] calling the President a liar in the middle of a formal speech! Since when has anything like that ever happened? And you actually have other elected officials defend the Congressman who acted out so disrespectfully against the president,” Poussaint said. Not in the case of Wilson’s outburst, but in general, “after a point, this sort of thing can become delusional thinking,” Poussaint told TheDefendersOnline. “And the danger grows once the individual reaches the point where they think the only way to solve the perceived ‘problem” is to kill the person they believe is causing it.”

With a black man leading the U.S. for the first time in history, we have to be unafraid to ask hard questions in this regard: Are whites who rail against President Obama driven crazy by racism? And might they be considered dangerous?

50% of whites voted for him, more than 90% of blacks did. Let's face it, given those stats, it's the blacks that are racist.

Blacks are racists b/c they voted for a Black man for President? I grew up in the '60's and although I was too young to care who was President my father, a black man kept up with everything that was going on. He was a Republican, my mother a Democrat. As a Republican my father voted for Nixon although he hated his guts, and he did not live to vote for Reagan...he died in November 1972. My father knew that Republican Whites did not want civil rights for African Americans yet he voted for them b/c he was told to do so when he lived in Alabama. So do you believe that African Americans should not have been given civil rights?

Man, that's a leap. My father was Republican too, my mother democrat. And they both supported civil rights for blacks. BTW, my father was career Air Force, NOBODY told him how to vote. If your father voted the way others told him to, then he is part of the problem, not the solution. Many black AND whites risked their lives for civil rights. Voting the way someone told him to is cowardice, IMHO.

And just so you know, today there are blacks in our family. We could be related....boy wouldn't that be a kick in the ass for you......

Rush Limpdick, Glenn Pecker, and Sean Hateful despise Obama. They are racist beyond words. You must be blind, deaf, and dumb or just plain conservative not to see it.

You're an idiot and the fact that Rinata thanked you shows she is an even bigger dumb ass than you. You and asswipes like you, have cheapened the word racist and have made it meaningless.

YOU are an idiot through and through. I can see that you are one of those that thinks the only thing that makes a person a racist is to call someone that's black the "N" word. As long as you don't do that, you don't think they are a racist. Well, you're wrong. Those right wing morons on tv convey their racism loud and clear every single day. And they don't use the "N" word, you stupid bitch.

THINK next time before you speak.

Take a flying leap. Don't try to act as though you really want me to respond so that we can converse here. When have you ever done that?? You just want to fight.

Why are you 'African American'? Is being an American not enough for you?

Personally, I have no time for this ridiculous 'African'/'Latino'/'Irish' or whatever other label one chooses. Why can we not just all be Americans?

You should heed your own advice. Your blithering, slobbering, vehement attitude will continue getting the best of you here from what I can tell. You should just admit you hate white people and start from there. That way we all know what we are dealing with at the begining of the thread anyway.

No disrespect intended here just observation.

We had a young man living with us that used the "n" word. I simply told him I don't care if he is black, that word is not allowed in this house. Yep, everyone against Obama is a racist.....NOT!!!!

Another babone. My Dad was Italian and my Mom is Danish. I am so white that I dazzle myself. Why do you people always think I am black?? Well, I'm not. I just have a good sense of what's right and what's wrong, thank God.

"If an American, because his skin is dark, cannot eat lunch in a restaurant open to the public, if he cannot send his children to the best public school available, if he cannot vote for the public officials who represent him, if, in short, he cannot enjoy the full and free life which all of us want, then who among us would be content to have the color of his skin changed and stand in his place? Who among us would then be content with the counsels of patience and delay?"

There is no reason why a black person cannot eat lunch in a restaurant open to the public today. There is no reason why he cannot send his children to the best public schools available. There is no reason he cannot vote for public officials to represent him. Heck we have a black president today, aren't you paying attention? The days of the Jim Crow laws are long over. My niece got a 5 year scholarship to Tuskegee University, it even paid her living expenses, why? Because she was black. And when she got there, she was told she was a mistake because her mother was white. Again, where is the racism today?

50% of whites voted for Obama, more than 96% of blacks voted for him. Quit barking up the wrong tree.

So you hate yourself obviously. There is help.

hate help: so hows best to get over yourself and self-hatred? - Help.com

I had a friend when I was young... A black kid who wished he ws white. He got help and is okay with himself. You should probably lay off of speaking about ethnicity for a while because you seem close to bursting blood vessels by the look of some your posts.

Sooo much hate.

So all opposition by white people to Obama is racist.

Go find a new song. This old saw is tired worn out bullshit.

Take a look jackass

If you think those pics are fake leftist propaganda you're an even bigger jackass.

Wow.

So THATS all the opposition to Obama that exists? Just racists?

(you don't realize that you just made my point, do you?)
