Obviously, the OP is clueless because America was more than happy to watch as 27 million Soviet soldiers marched to their deaths.
Compare that to our 400,000. Most of those dying in the Pacific theater.
Also, it assumes FDR was making all the decisions by himself. Anyone who knows anything about wartime Washington knows there are dozens of people involved in wartime decision making.
FDR just nodded his head now and then when they asked him a question.
Mostly, he'd be concerned about upcoming elections like most politicians are always concerned about.
General Marshall, the guy who the Marshall plan is named after, would've been involved in a lot more of the decision making than FDR ever was.
He disliked Stalin where Truman and Churchill liked Stalin. Disliking Stalin shows a good judge of character.
