It's been quite an educational experience to compare and contrast the FDR I learned about in school to his actual track record; had the two met in the street they would not recognize each other.

We know the Fictional narrative: He was the Greatest President Ever who rescued us from the Depression and won WWII. But when you examine his actual accomplishments, you find a reactionary who turned the power of government AGAINST the US economy and oversaw the worst economic collapse in human history, eclipsing the 7 Biblical Lean Years. During his first two terms, unemployment averaged 20%! Only after the start of WWII and the conquest of France did US unemployment fall below 14%! 14%!!

But far worse than his economic performance was his unholy alliance which bordered on love and admiration for Josef Stalin. What is striking is that Stalin was not like a Ted Bundy who presented as a normal guy and left his associates in amazement at how, once revealed, such a "normal" guy could be such a sadistic cold-blooded killer. Stalin's' reign of terror began soon after coming to power after Lenin's death in 1924, and well before FDR's 1933 inauguration.

The Ukraine is in the news again. After Czarist Russia collapsed the Ukraine fought for its independence -- and lost. In 1929, Stalin determined to crush the life out of the Ukraine and declared that the farmers, the Kulaks were to be "liquidated as a class". When you think of Hitlers train full of Jews going off to concentration camps and death, be mindful that Stalin initiated the practice on a larger resulting in the elimination of 10 million of his fellow citizens with many starving to death.

That was 1929! That's the man FDR called "Uncle Joe"

That's the man FDR handed ownership of Eastern Europe

FDR's relationship wasn't "The Stranger Besides Me" but "Let me make Hannibal Lecter the White House chef"

Is redundant reiteration your only ability?

The American populace during the presidency of FDR noticed the difference between repubs that didn't give a shit about the average Joe and the Dems that wanted to help the average Joe.
Now as you will see the American population showed who they wanted as president. None of your propaganda of negative rhetoric will ever change that fact..
No man and no system is perfect, but what is important is that FDR tried to straighten out what Laissez faire policies of the past created a crash in the economy through greed, unregulated markets and mismanagement.
Like Carnegie stated,
As to the second mode, that of leaving wealth at death for public uses, it may be said that this is only a means for the disposal of wealth, provided a man is content to wait until he is dead before it becomes of much good in the world. Knowledge of the results of legacies bequeathed is not calculated to inspire the brightest hopes of much posthumous good being accomplished. The cases are not few in which the real object sought by the testator is not attained, nor are they few in which his real wishes are thwarted. In many cases the bequests are so used as to become only monuments of his folly. It is well to remember that it requires the exercise of not less ability than that which acquired the wealth to use it so as to be really beneficial to the community. Besides this, it may fairly be said that no man is to be extolled for doing what he cannot help doing, nor is he to be thanked by the community to which he only leaves wealth at death. Men who leave vast sums in this way may fairly be thought men who would not have left it at all, had they been able to take it with them. The memories of such cannot be held in grateful remembrance, for there is no grace in their gifts. It is not to be wondered at that such bequests seem so generally to lack the blessing. -
