At present the price per month for a unit, cow and calf, is less than $1.50, where it is about $20 per month on private land. Sold to the highest bidder, the land would mostly be sold to Chinese, Japanese, and Saudis. And they would charge the going private rate, and the ranchers would be forced to sell their ranches for pennies on the dollar.

Show me a link because what the BLM actually did was run farmers and ranchers off of their lands. What has happened to the Bundys and the Hammonds is just a teeny tiny sample of what has happened to others. The only "asshole" (and ignorant one at that) is you.
