Favorite rock bands in 70s,80s and 90s

IMO - and it is an opinion.. so settle..
Van Halen after VH II had the possibility of heading to Superband status.
Up there with Led, Aerosmith etc.
The first time I heard Atomic Punk... daaaamn. I was hooked.
Then came MTV. And with it the hard hitting, experimental sound was GONE.
And replaced with bubble gum hits.
And Roth's ego and self image as irresistible to all women was getting old fast.

I don't have many band favorites who had a home in the rock field, but I do love the Eagles and Huey Lewis and the News. :) :) :)

God bless you and each remaining member always!!!

P.S. I still can't believe that Glen Frey of the Eagles is gone.

70s - Boston, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Segar, Floyd... and more.
80s - Besides the above... John Mellencamp, George Thorogood, Foghat... yes they were over for the most part by then, but that is when I discovered them.
90s - besides the above still... Cake, Flaming Lips, Petty, Pearl Jam, SoundGarden

Eagies!! Yes

Eagies!! Yes
I also liked Eagles, but sometimes they got a little too country.
I like Glen Frey songs the best..... I mean who doesn't like the lines...
Well, I'm running down the road tryin' to loosen my load
I've got seven women on my mind
Four that wanna own me, two that wanna stone me
One says she's a friend of mine

I like a huge variety of music. Classical, Rock, Blues, Jazz, Heavy Metal etc.... Pretty much any kind of music except for really annoying crap like country and opera.
I could have written this

LOL

But I venture to guess that you would not choose listening to a bidim speech over listening to country or opera

i hate that song. It seems misogynistic, for one... conveys sexually loose morals for another

70's Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, Grand Funk
80's absolutely nobody, maybe GnR
90's Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Soundgarden

Eagies!! Yes
I love this song and video of them. :) :) :)

P.S. One thing that I love about the song is that the lead singing position was shared and not dumped on the plate of just one member. I also love the smile on Glen's face when he says, "Everyone is out there on the loose!" To me, his singing only got better once the 80s got started. "How Long" might be his best in my opinion. I do love watching him laugh at the end of the video. :) :) :)

This is high entertainment here. And yeah, a couple of 'em were high, and that's OK. This is good stuff.
