It looks like China's Carrier program is bust once again. Their Russian knockoff carrier can't handle the J-15 because it's too big and heavy. They have had fatal accidents trying to land on those little tiny carriers. They now want to modify their smaller and lighter J-31 for carrier duty. What they don't seem to understand is the J-31 is going to get a lot heavier when it's made to put up with carrier duty. The Chinese are trying to do in a very short time what it took the United States, Britain and France about a hundred years to learn how to do. With these smaller carriers, they really don't have anything like the Harrier or the Lightning II to operate off of them so they are doing the same mistakes that the Russians keep doing over and over.
