Fantasy Violence does not cause actual violence

Even though I've studied psychology and worked in both the Juvenile Justice system and as a Psychiatric Case Worker on an inner city Emergency Psychiatric Hospital unit...

That is a mouthful...are you on any kind of MEDs...yourself.

Had to be a stressful roller coaster ride !

Yes, anyone who makes serious attempts to treat multiple individuals with severe psychiatric disorders over a long period of time runs the risk of burnout without some sort of stress reducing outlet.

At that time, I took up bicycle racing and rode my bicycle almost everywhere and trained to the point where I could ride over 200 miles at a time at an average speed of over 20 mph.

I don't think that you'll find many people over 70 years old who has lived a full life that is not on some sort of medication.

While bicycle racing was my medication then, later I was prescribed an antidepressant for nightmares I was having related to work in and around Southern Lebanon during the '73 War and, earlier, combat duty during the Vietnam war.
After a few years the nightmares subsided, I discontinued the antidepressants and nightmares are currently only very mild and very infrequent.

Concerning the topic at hand, it is only my personal opinion that excessive exposure to fantasy "killing" via violent video games must desensitize young minds still in the stages of development to real life killing.
