Frankly I play no musical instruments. My youngest daughter plays them. Her son plays them. Me, I have no musical gifts.

This video being presented is about Violins. Very expensive violins. This charming lady plays them. She owns an expensive violin her parents got for for I believe she said $50 dollars. It has been appraised for $60,000 to $90,000. Listen to her play it. Can you imagine owning hers? It will be interesting if any violin players get involved with this topic and perhaps we all can learn something new. Good luck.

Watch this violinist playing with a pianist followed by a super oprah singer.
Enjoy you all. Is this violinist a prodigy or what?

I got an eBay special several years ago. The brand is called "Helmke Strad" but for all I know about music/musical instruments it most likely is a China special.

I play drums and a little guitar but I had no idea that even common viollins were so expensive.

I'm pretty sure they said they paid $50,000 for her childhood violin. Gee, I wish my parents could have gotten me that nice of a guitar!

All said, if I had never heard the Stradivarius, I'd be pretty happy with hers, but comparing hers against the 14 million $ Strad, the Strad walked all over it with far greater warmth, depth, character and body. The Strad made me want to cry. But is that difference worth $14,000,000? Certainly not. Objectively, the difference is pretty subtle and to folks with a tin ear, they probably would hear no difference at all.
