We are always looking for a good movie that's not too violent.
Any suggestions?
We watched First Wives Club last night although we saw it decades ago.

Some of the older Disney movies.
comedy movies from the 1960s and 50s. Penelope is a good one but many others

I love that movie from start to finish. Every actor in it is perfect for the role. A great film for around the holidays.

I have it on DVD somewhere around here...

I've been a fan of O'Toole's for as long as I can remember, and a fan of that movie since I saw it in theaters back in... oh crap... 1982... damn... 43 years ago...

You can't beat Galaxy Quest for family fun...

OMG it's so bad. I have these channels on my cable package and they play movies from the 90's, 2000's, 2010's but they aren't good movies. They are movies I remember, but they kind of sucked. There are even a lot of movies I remember but have never seen because I just knew I wouldn't like them. Once in awhile I give one a try and just as I thought, lame.

I have one taped now. I can't remember who's in it but it's got 3 great actors in it and I've never seen it. It's got to suck. LOL

Galaxy Quest reminds me of that Bruce Willis movie the 5th element. I watched it recently. Actually, this one maybe I would recommend.

Galaxy Quest. Very cheesy. LOL

Nooo! It's great... It's funny... It's supposed to be corny!

My wife isn't terribly fond of it, either. But then again, she didn't like Ferris Bueller's Day Off...

Seriously though, thing like movies, books, television, and music are subjective and I find it troublesome to condemn someone for not liking something someone else finds entertaining or good.

I would suggest, however, that you check out the documentary Never Surrender: A Galaxy Quest Documentary. I know more than a couple of people who changed their opinion about Galaxy Quest after watching it...

It's streaming on Prime.

I still like Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

I enjoyed watching some classic Disney Animation flicks from back in the day with my kids (when they were still young). I mean who doesn’t love Tigger and Eeyore?

Galaxy Quest was fun.

All of the Harry Potter movies (even the darker ones) were good.

The Wizard of Oz (1939).

The Sound of Music.

Before watching movies with parents became embarrassing for my kids, we even collectively enjoyed Casablanca.

When I was young, it was always a must —see around Thanksgiving to put on “The March of the Tin Soldiers” with Laurel and Hardy.

There are others but my brain is all foggy today. Need more coffee.

May watch this one tonight. Thanks

Yep, it is a killer, non-stop comedy, action and drama from the minute it starts to the very end. And I just loved the characters--- every character was perfectly cast for the actor playing it. I particularly liked the characters of Bengie Stone from whose POV the movie is told from, he reminds me a bit of Stephen Furst playing Flounder, and his girlfriend/sidekick.
