Most conservatives own or work for small business
Well, then stop supporting politicians who keep bending over backwards for huge corporations.
Those damn corporations. How dare they fund this huge, unaccountable, and bankrupt government. Let's see how long you government worshippers last without those taxpayers working for those damn corporations.
Corporations barely pay income tax. We dint need huge corporations to have jobs.
Wrong, dingus. Corporations employ TAXPAYERS. You seem To be MSNBC'd...

When they have a majority, they will do all kinds of shit, as has always been the case in US politics.
And how will they deal with the filibuster of this bill?

You know, taxpayers aren’t only employed by corporations, right?

China going after high end manufacturing is expected, but not likely to succeed.
China is in a catch-22. They are going after high end manufacturing, and have become exporters of high end sophisticated CNC machines and tooling. But they are doing so for hard currency, because most of their domestic market can't afford high end machinery.

They both want control. They'll do different things with it, sure, but they both want more power. Just like ACA. That's why it's gonna happen.
Republicans want their platforms to be able to spread "fake news" without being challenged.

Like hydroxychloroquin as the cure / prophylactic for COVID-19
And Democrats have no such agenda. Riiiiiight.
Democrats want less disinformation in social media.
Obvious sarcasm.

High end goods rely on needing expensive components, and expensive labor, and extensive quality control.
Actually you need good engineers and skilled blue collar workers to make anything of value

And the more manufacturing you have at all levels the more likely we are to attract and nurture those people

Besides American globalists smugly believe that our little niche in high end is guaranteed and can never be stolen from us the way china has stolen from us

Youre talking crazy. Youre acting like nothing can get done unless democrats approve of it. :cuckoo:
Okay. So how are Republicans going to pass this law?
Actually it should be, how are Republicans going to pass this law, and get the president to sign it.
By throwing enough pork to Democrats. Again, Democrats aren't fundamentally opposed to regulating social media - quite the opposite.

Um, hate to break it to you but there’s like a LOT of Trump supporters on social media.

There are also a lot of foreigners on social media, from Russian trolls to Chinese bots.

They will throw up their hands and cry because filibustering is impossible to overcome. :cuckoo:
This is probably accurate. What else are they going to do?
I think you guys have it backwards. It will be Democrats proposing social media regulation. R's will pretend to oppose it (because politics), but they'll come around.
