Explosion! Evacuation Orders Given.

Another setback in US power generation... But everything's just Hunky-Dory, ain't it?

Sorry, just posted the same thing after yours along with the pipeline explosion in TX

That happened yesterday.

If you have a point.... Don't be shy. Do share....
It happened yesterday. No real urgency. Most of the town didn't hear anything and were not told to evacuate. Medford is one of those towns that if you blink you're through. It wasn't super secret. No UFO was sighted.

That's it.

Oh come on, there would have been no explosion if Trump was still President.

Many of you might find this difficult to believe...but coal, unlike natural gas, isn't prone to accidental explosion, it won't freeze in the winter, and it's extremely cheap and safe to transport.
So...you just established you know nothing about coal.

How you figure there pardner.

Coal doesn't explode.

Coal DUST may cause an explosion...but just about ANY dust will do the same. Flour dust can cause an explosion.
Where there is coal, there is coal dust.

A large pile of coal can spontaneously ignite.

True...it can ignite and smoulder. But it's not going to cause an explosion at the power plant...because it is not volatile in the manner that NG is.

A lot can go wrong with NG...coal...not so much.
