I can think of many combinations

just 3 examples of mixture:

Catholic/Protestant etc ...
Christian/Moslem etc ...
Believer/Atheist

Do you know any of those, or still others?
From your own marriage, or of friends etc ...

can we talk a bit about our experiences?

Religion has become close to irrelevant in our society for the vast majority of people. "Mixed" marriages from different faiths are rarely a problem except for the few remaining religious zealots of the Mormon, Jewish, and Muslim communities.

It used to be common knowledge that the most successful marriages were between two people who had the most in common - race, ethnicity, religion, likes and dislikes, political views, intelligence, and so forth. Now Lefties scorn that wisdom, which explains that stratospheric divorce rates of today. And FWIW, you cannot turn on your television without seeing "mixed" relationships and bi-racial kids forced into every program and commercial.

you are right!
maybe we have to dig into the past to find problems

They do not work....

Christian's do not share the same definitions for the same vocabulary as atheists. Especially surrounding such words as "love".

Gays consider a man and a woman a "mixed marriage". :auiqs.jpg:

i can remember this case ...

Grandmother Catholic
Grandson married a Protestant lady, who had a child from her first marriage
Grandmother was very upset about a Lutheran child in the family

an exception ....

i also know those

and what about Christian.Muslim marriages?
If a Muslim man and Christian woman marry, the man will usually bully the woman to convert. I don't know any personally, though.

I had a friend who was a JOOO that married a Catholic.

He told me he raised his kids as Catholics so he didn't have to fight with his wife about it.
Heard Jerry Lewis tell how he told his parents that he was going to have a mixed marriage (He married an RC); they said of course!! A man and a woman...what other type of marriage is there??

My father was Jewish, my mother Catholic. This was unheard of back in the’50s but we had a perfectly normal upbringing and household.

The tradition is for the children to be raised in the faith of the mother.

I am Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and wife was raised catholic, but she really isn't religious at all. Been married 42 years last August.
