I'm sure most people have seen the cartoon meant to illustrate the similarity/difference between equality and equity. It seems to get people worked up. Now, I don't want anyone to lose their shit over this, but I recently saw another version of this cartoon, and I thought I'd share it. I'm sure it can be discussed without falling back into the usual hate-fest and/or racist diatribe, so here goes:

I'm not going to lose My shit over this, but it's wrong and I've explained in the past why it isn't accurate. I'll not repeat Myself.

Equity comes from a Latin word meaning "horse." It has nothing to do with equality, just like oxymoron has nothing to do with saying something moronic.

Roman businessman were the only people rich enough to field war horses. That's why equity is a financial term only.

I’ve seen the others and they’re pretty dumb on their own but is the point of the inclusion one to prove unqualified people get those jobs? It’s like they’re telling us with that one inclusion is all about the elimination of merit. If any of those three could play they wouldn’t have been outside the fence as spectators.

The image starts with a bad premise, that people who don’t pay for seat are somehow entitled to having a clear view of the game. This version ends with an even worse premise, that people who don’t pay for a seat should be part of the team.

Don't ask me. I didn't draw the pictures. Just setting out something to talk about.

I don't think that was meant to be the implication, but who knows?

The entire thing is to make you feel guilty for working and buying a ticket to the game. Like it’s your fault they are outside the fence.

You gotta be more specific.
No I think you do. You can’t start a conversation and then step out saying “Don’t ask me” and also claim you want a conversation. You’re the OP, asking for a conversation, how about participating.

Too small to see well. Do you have a link?

I have a somewhat favorable opinion on help the boxes provide in raising people up as in the depiction of equity. My displeasure would come from lowering the fence, as to signify lowering standards.

As for the 2 panels below, I don't get them, and they leave me confused.

Welcome Back, Cotton-Picker

Uncle Kotex will flunk you if you don't quit asking him annoying questions.

Great meme

Democrats can't meme because they are consumed by evil. Those who deny their creator lose the ability to create. They can only copy and mimic.

If democrats claw their way back to power you may find yourself in prison for posting this thread.

Democrats literally locked a guy up for a meme, text 34545 to vote for Hillary.

If democrats return to power they will pour over the social media post of Americans looking for thought crimes to prosecute them for.

An American voting for democrats is like a chicken voting for KFC. Literally...

Democrats = traitors

But I'll just tell them I'm 1/100000000000000000000000000th American Indian and they'll release me the same day!

Maybe the democrats of today, but their Islamic commie overlords will make examples of those who post thought crimes.
