The exit polls from this presidential election contain some fascinating information, information that Democrats would be wise to process. I'm using the NBC News and Reuters exit polls. For example:

Trump won 81% of the vote among those who said their family's financial situation is worse now than it was four years ago. Only 24% of those polled said their family's financial situation has improved since 2020.

Trump won an astounding 55% of the male Hispanic vote, a whopping 51% increase over the share he won in 2020.

Trump also won a larger share of the female Hispanic vote than he did in 2020, going from 30% to 38%, an increase of 26%.

Trump's share of the overall Hispanic vote rose by a whopping 47% compared to 2020, going from 32% to 46%.

Trump won by large margins among Protest and Catholic voters, winning 72% of the Protestant vote and 61% of the Catholic vote.

Trump's share of the two youngest voting blocks, the 18-24 and 25-29 groups, rose substantially from 2020, going from 36% to 43%, an increase of 19%.

Trump received 13% of the African-American vote, the largest percentage won by any Republican presidential candidate since 1980.

Trump beat Harris 50% to 47% among households with a total income of under $50,000.

Trump beat Harris 50% to 46% among households with a total income of $50,000 to $100,000.

Trump handily won the military veteran vote by an impressive 31 percentage points, 65% to 34%.

Trump won the rural vote 64% to 34%.

Trump won the suburban vote 51% to 47%.

A surprising datum is that 5% of those who said they voted for Biden in 2020 voted for Trump this time. That equals at least 3 million votes.

Another surprising datum is that Trump won 56% of the votes of first-time voters.

As exit polling data emerges it's becoming increasingly clear the election came down to voter frustration with high prices of living essentials like food and housing. There were of course some ancillary issues at play but the aftermath of COVID was the driving force. And I understand the "throw the bums out" mentality inflation created. People were getting squeezed so they did what everyone always does, blame the guy in the WH........and Harris by association.

What I don't understand is why people turned to an ignorant, boorish, carnival barker thinking he's the solution. Of note, majorities oppose Don's positions on abortion, the environment, gun control, and mass deportation so the notion he has a mandate to impose his agenda is false.

Did they learn after 2016? The last four years followed Hillarys loss. The Dems are fully dependent on their donors and their donors demand open borders, immense spending, a focus on proppijg up Wall street rather than their manufacturing that is outsourced, and a lack of concern for the poisonous chemicals that China sends into Mexico which is then smuggled.into America in order to kill hundreds of thousanfs of young, U.S citizens. This is what Dem donors want so they can profit in China.

Of note, majorities oppose Don's positions on abortion, the environment, gun control, and mass deportation so the notion he has a mandate to impose his agenda is false.

According to what polls? It all depends on how the questions are posed.

Do you favor no restrictions on abortions allowing for a woman with a healthy pregnancy to have an abortion up until the moment of birth if she so desires for any reason whatsoever, including financial and social? That is what the Democrats want and I can assure you that the majority would say no to that proposal.

Do you favor an EV mandate that will prevent you from buying any vehicle with a combustion engine? That would be a hard no, but that is what Democrats want.

Do you believe that all immigrants who have entered this country illegally should be deported? Again, most would say yes.

Democrats underestimate the sanity of the American public. Most aren’t as extreme as the Democratic Party portrays.

Maybe now these progressives will put this Marxist fad behind them so we can have two meaningful parties again. MAGA
Neither one of those parties will ever be meaningful.

You don’t understand because you suffer from severe irreversible TDS.

When Morning Joe discovered the price of butter was $7 he finally understood why Harris lost.
I saw this. It's nuts how out of touch these propagandists are with reality. It's insulting to salt of the earth Americans too. You go to the store, gas station, etc. and you see with your own eyes that the economy isn't doing well. And then some limp dicked Ivy League pencil pusher in a $10,000 dollar suit goes on TV and tells you that you're just imagining things being bad and that in fact, things are better than ever. It's bad gaslighting.

You may be right, but I hope you're not. Neocons and progressives have already proved themselves to be self-serving assholes who will only represent the donor class and the globalist establishment. MAGA is the last hope. That's why I'm an independent who votes straight Republican now. We'll see how they do. Hopefully, Democrats won't be the total obstructionist assholes they were during his last term. So far, it doesn't look like the progressives and neocons learned much from their defeat. MAGA

The border is not open.
We'll see....when it is actually closed properly and the cartel money begins to dry up....you'll see the screaming in Congress.
Some of them will be GOP screamers.

The choice was between an experienced Trump or an inexperienced VP who was part of an admin that made the US unaffordable by having open borders giving illegals free food, and free housing. A very easy choice as the popular vote showed.

They should have spent less time telling people that they were ignorant and more time trying to understand their pain.
Unfortunately Saul didn't write much about empathy. Time for a new mentor.
