Political conventions have lost their purpose in life, since the nominees are decided long before they start the parties and the noisemaking. If ever there were a year when a convention was a total waste of time, this would be it for the Democrats. Their nominee was crowned without earning a single vote.
This year, the purpose of the DNC is to make the Democrat voters (Voters? Who cares about the voters?) forget that their votes were tossed in the shitter before the ink was dry on them, and they got a candidate whom they rejected enthusiastically in 2020, and whose presence on the 2024 ticket was considered a major drawback for her addled predecessor.
From pariah to Messiah in a couple of short weeks. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain, eh?
