Close as it gets in the large-ish organic market where I shop is pulled roasted chicken or house made chicken salad. Some good chicken dishes like Greek lemon/garlic thighs, or tandoori chicken. Just plain fried chicken is a thing of the past for me.

Nobody ever got close to my grandma's fried chicken, with the exception of the Top Foods market in Aberdeen Washington. Unfortunately, it's no longer there. It was a great place to stop and eat on the drive to the WA coast.
