Great stuff, some people bad mouthed German food but some of it was very good, don't think i would like smoked eel, but then again i didn't think i would like raw Herring until a Dutch friend asked me to try it several years ago bought it from a street vendor it was surprisingly good.

I like German food. I haven't explored it very much but I know what I like and I usually stick to it. My favourites include Spiegeleier mit Speck, Eisben, and Backhendl from Wienerwald.

Raw Herring with an unlimited number of recipes is a speciality in Sweden. Superb!

I did over 400k over the last 5 months I was stationed there.

I liked the way there was always something to do in Germany....and a lot of it involved walking in parks and forests.

I went to several winefests and beerfests.

The food was always the best and the healthiest.

Germans aren't known for their coffee but it's really good.

But my favorite thing was going to the bakery.

They make some really delicious cakes and deserts. Black Forest Cake. Bee Sting Cake. Yummy.

How do you go to wine or beer sites and get back home drunk with DUI rules? You said Volksmarched? Is that driving a VW?
