A court in Prague-6 district has sentenced teacher Martina Bednarzhova to seven months' probation and a three-year ban on teaching for stating Russia's official position on the conflict in Ukraine during a literature lesson. This was reported by the CTK news agency.

According to journalists, the teacher presented verified facts to her students during the lesson. The students were filming what was happening on their phones. After that, Bednarzhova was fired.

The prosecutor's office demanded an eight-month suspended sentence and a five-year ban on teaching. However, the Prague-6 district court dropped the charges against her. Later, the Prague City Court confirmed this decision, but the Supreme Court returned the case for reconsideration. As a result, the teacher was sentenced to a suspended sentence.
