Ethnic policy in Kazakhstan

I don’t know if this is somehow connected with the protests, but in Kazakhstan a rather dirty ethnic policy is being pursued to destroy the identity of the peoples of Kazakhstan, to merge them into a “single Kazakh people”. At the same time, these peoples are very different in origin. Some Kazakhs have an Indo-European appearance and genetics, others come from Iran, and still others are identical to the Evenks. In Kazakhstan, marriages between distant relatives are prohibited, up to the 7th generation, this is probably the most severe restriction in the whole world, and this destroys the peoples of Kazakhstan, promotes mixing.
Although the peoples of Kazakhstan still retain their identity, in addition there are national minorities who are not considered Kazakhs.
