eSIM and verizon

Got a new phone, just wanted to activate and use my number I've had for 19 years, on my account they suggest eSIM, more secure......blah blah

well I forgot my pin so I reset it, get text, yes it's me

old phone they suspend my account thinking it's fraud......you gotta be f-ing kidding me

can't text or call but their 1-800 goes through

I did get a new physical SIM and installed, should have went that route.....

so 25 minutes later talking to two indians I could barely understand I finally have my new phone working

it's 200x better as it should be with everything....

I the end, they activated my physical SIM after I gave them all the info

I could have done this on my account

new tech is nice.......and sometimes it's a huge pain in the ass and more difficult than it should be.

2 minutes on my account or less would have given me the same results of back and forth talking to two agents on my phone for over 25 minute

just updating your phone is NOT supposed to be this difficult, I never had this issue before

sure it was resolved with a boatload of extra work

Yes, they have real security issues. I already lost google accounts, because I did not have the old phone number anymore. I contacted them and they say they can´t do anything about it.
