As I've suggested, if the wealthy experience repercussions of a policy, that policy will change overnight.
Maybe the most needy Americans in N.Y will be the first to experience the consequences on this matter. Those entering the U.S unchecked, for what everyone knows is for cheap labour to replace American workers, and I assume, future votes.
Maybe MSM will be forced to cover this issue more patriotically and objectively now that a major city Dem mayor is speaking candidly about the risks to local Americans.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams said with the expiration of Title 42, the Big Apple may be forced to cut public services to prioritize an expected influx of an additional 1,000 migrants arriving every week.
New York City taxpayers have been footing the bill for the city's response to the influx of migrants so far.
The annual "State of the City’s Economy and Finances" report released Thursday by the city comptroller projected $1 billion annually in spending through 2026 to cover housing, education, food and other expenditure for migrants.
Title 42, the immigration restrictions put in place by the Trump administration in March 2020 to curtail to spread of an infectious disease, has extended during the Biden administration, blocking hundreds of thousands of migrants from seeking asylum in the U.S. in recent years. Yet, under a federal court ruling last week, immigration officials can no longer turn back asylum seekers, and Title 42 is to expire Wednesday despite shelters along the U.S.-Mexico border already packed with thousands of migrants.
