Cann explained his initial decision to hold her without bail by saying the only information that he had in front of him at the time was that she had made an obscene display of her body — not that she was in Virginia as part of a protest, Baugh said.
“As far as he knew she’s a flasher,” Baugh said. “He said, ‘When I denied you bond you had no ties to Virginia, and this is all I had in front of me.’”"

We all have the right to receive liberty and justice under the law.

While there is no real accounting for how any "local" judge will do his or her job, BAIL has nothing to do with the seriousness of the crime or even the likelihood that the accused is guilty.
Bail is the court's way of guaranteeing that the accused with show up for trial. If the accused has a home and a family and a job, and the judge does not perceive that s/he is a "flight risk," then bail will be low or nominal. If the person has no real connections to the community and the judge perceived him or her as a flight risk, bond may be quite high, or not even available.
Mr Stone is accused of a number of silly things which may or may not be true, and may or may not have any relevance to any important elements of the 2016 Presidential campaign. And despite being slandered daily in all number of news outlets, he has been FORBIDDEN to say anything in his own defense, in public.

Another example? The media (and democrat politicians) fell all over themselves in support of the crazy actor who claimed to have been assaulted but nobody is talking about the kid on campus who was kicked and punched because he supported the President.
