Imagine propaganda commercials where a husband is intimidating a wife into committing elections that are against her preferred choices for voting .
Imagine propaganda commercials of vote buying , of voter intimidation at the neighborhood level , of voter impersonation through false registration without an ability to subpoena a direct participant .
Each of those scenarios adversely affects independence of the vote .
The significance of ensuring independence of the vote follows directly from the entitlement of each individual citizen to equal representation , and each individual citizen is entitled to equal protection of its equal representation .
A government obligation to ensure the equal protection of equal representation and independence of the vote necessitates that voting be setup to be completed anonymously by each individual citizen , and therefore in person voting is mandatory .
The mail in ballots and drop box ballots are deprecated as a valid method of voting as terribly insufficient to ensure independence of the vote .
By extending the duration of time for available voting to perhaps several weeks should be sufficient for individuals to schedule time to vote without excuse .
