Drones are the problem. You can torch 99% of Iran's geography and still not stop the drone strikes.
They require sometthing as simple as an old pick-up Truck and a few feet of level ground near the sea shore.
So....to respond to it you would have to start taking out infrastructure like power plants and water treatment plants.
The catastrophic effect on innocent non comabatants would be insane I'm afraid and even then the ruling class would import what they needed and run generators to keep their Air conditioners on because Iran does not have a government complaint box...not unless you want to go to prison.

You have to make it hurt....you have to hit them where they care....friends, family, valuables...and even then it is uncertain just how the religious fervor may or may not respond. In martyrdom they see glory....there really is nothing here in the West that equates to that mind set.

The OP is talking about Iranian drones. This is a very big problem with no easy solutions. Unless a new regime eradicates them, a persistent US/Israeli presence may be required. Hopefully, new micro surveillance technology can be developed to locate and destroy them.
